Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center-KDB Industrial Bank, 'Next G-Star Round' plays a leading role in attracting investment and encouraging corporate growth

Starting with the recruitment announcement in September, after about two months of intense document screening and competitive IR, three companies in each of the three fields were selected, for a total of nine award-winning companies. In the mobility field, ▲Grand Prize TCMS (CEO Shin Tae-yong) ▲Excellence Prize POSCO (CEO Kim Hyung-jin) ▲Encouragement Prize TMVNet (CEO Cho Hyung-nam) were selected. In addition, ▲Grand Prize UC Therapeutics (CEO Jeong Su-yeong) ▲Excellence Prize Korea Fisheries Research & Development Institute (CEO Kim Min-su) ▲Encouragement Prize Enercamp (CEO Choi Jeong-seop) were selected in the energy/bio field. Finally, ▲Grand Prize Infinite Block (CEO Jeong Gu-tae) ▲Excellence Prize Growing Lab (CEO Park Jeong-jae) ▲Encouragement Prize Switch One (CEO Seo Jeong-ah) were selected in the fintech/blockchain/web 3.0 field.


KDB Industrial Bank held a financial support agreement ceremony for TCMS through this preliminary round IR evaluation. Song Kang-guk, head of KDB Industrial Bank Gyeongsan Branch, said, “We plan to continuously develop the Gyeongbuk region’s venture companies and excellent companies’ growth by signing a financial support agreement with TCMS and starting full-scale investment support, in collaboration with the Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center.” Lee Moon-rak, head of the Gyeongbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, “I hope this event will serve as a stepping stone for local startups to attract investment and grow into unicorn companies. As a cradle for local innovative startups, we will actively support the discovery, growth, and investment attraction of promising startups.”
